Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Amy Blanchard, and I am a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Cupertino, CA. I provide psychotherapy and consultation to adolescents and adults who are experiencing a wide rage of emotional and behavioral difficulties.
In psychotherapy, I strive to create a collaborative relationship with clients that fosters growth and behavior change. I work with clients to identify maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, to find more adaptive ways of thinking and functioning, and to take responsibility for their own growth.
Raised in New York City, after graduating high school, I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I earned my BA in Psychology in 1977. I decided to pursue an advanced degree in Psychology and moved to the Bay Area in 1979 where I attended The California School of Professional Psychology in Berkeley. I earned my doctorate in 1984.
I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, college counseling centers, group homes, and employee assistance programs. I have been in private practice since 1987.
